    Given an Average for Drawing 6 Times, What Are the Odds When Drawing Once?




    Suppose we draw 6 times, with replacement, from a deck of cards with four suits. We do not know how many cards of each suit there are, nor how many cards are in the deck. (I believe the deck is finite for this problem, but maybe it doesn't matter?)

    After n trials, we find that, on average, there are k spades drawn in each trial. From here, how can I determine the chance of finding a spade in a single draw?

    The estimator would be simply \frac {k} {6}
