    non parametric multiple comparison

    Hello

I am doing statistical analysis on my research data and the data is not normal. So I used Kruskal Wallis test for finding whether treatments are different from each other. I have 6 treatments and I want to test whether Treatment 1 is different from 2 or treatment 2 is different from 3,4 or 5 like Tukey Kramer did in normal data. Can anybody please let me know which test I can use to test the multiple comparison i.e. equivalence of Tukey Kramer. Can I use Tukey Kramer or are there any other tests? Thanks fro yuor help and time.

    Regards,
    RS

    Re: non parametric multiple comparison

    Hello!
As far as I know, one of the post-hoc tests used with KW is the Dunn test. I seem to recall that other tests are available, but that is the one I have found more often cited.
Some software perform Mann-Whitney pair-wisely, along with Bonferroni correction. As for the latter approach, see for example the free tool called PAST.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks for your reply.

I am using SAS and I want to use the SAS code. Is Dunnet test and Dunn test same? If you have the SAS code please and I will highly appreciate that.

    Hello!
I never used SAS, but I see that there are many occurrences on Google if you search for 'SAS Dunn test': see for example LINK LINK LINK.

In the last LINK they talk about a SAS macro for performing multiple comparisons.

In this LINK they talk explicitly about Dunn test.

    Hope this helps
