External dataset validation of a binary logit model

    Hello all,
i have developed a prognostic model using binomial logistic regression. Now i want to validate it in an external dataset. The standard literature suggests that validation of the prognostic score should be performed using standard tests to measure discrimination, calibration and overall performance.
    Now, my questions are:
    1) Do i need to carry out the usual steps for Logit Regression in the validation set as in the evaluation cohort??
    2) Explanation of the ensuing methods??

    Thank you.

You need to provide more details. Yes, typically I would run all of the additional standard tests. Along with re -examining possible explanatory covarates that may arise in the new dataset.
    Stop cowardice, ban guns!
