    Determining seasonal sample size

I intend to deploy a new sonar system at our weir to help us count migrating fish. This new system cannot identify gender. We have six years of data from the previous system where we do id gender. Is there a way to calculate the number of day or fish that would need to be surveyed to determine if the season's M/F ratio matches the historic trend. The ratio is nearly 50/50 but the daily variance can be great. I've attached a spreadsheet the includes the daily catch over six years minus the days with no catch. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
