    Statistical Method for Analysis

    Hi !

An experiment to study the effect of a treatment on 50 organisms was conducted. Data on 8 parameters (variables), to study the effect of the treatment, was recorded (one set under control and other under treatment effect). The data was recorded at two time intervals (30 days after treatment and 60 days after treatment).

Can u suggest a statistical method to analyze the above data so as to effectively bring about the treatment effect, the effect of the individual organism and time interval effect? And the interaction effect among all the three. Does the method vary if we study only the treatment and organism effect and their interactions?

I would be grateful if someone would suggest suitable method to analyze the data with a brief description.

    Sunil

    just a suggestion

you could use a simple 2-way ANOVA

    with three possible hypothesis

    1. There is no difference in the means of factor A
    2. There is no difference in means of factor B
    3. There is no interaction between factors A and B

from what I have read you have two treatments, the control one and the real treatment. then you have a pre-test post test wherein you collect data 30 days after the treatment and then 60 days after the treatment.......hmmmmmm.......one thing I would ask is what if you collect only 60 days after the treatment or maybe 30 days after the treatment?
maybe you could choose one of them.....or maybe you would like to know the extent of the treatment if it is prolonged or with accordance with time.....

well I'm kind of new here so be easy on me ^^ anyway I hope it helped even just a little ^^
