the 95 is smaller. Two 95 CIs, the smaller is the one with the smaller standard deviation (same means). BUT only if the samples sizes are the same.
I have two questions:
1. Is the 95% confidence interval smaller or larger than a 99% confidence interval?
2. For two normal distributions with the same mean, but different standard deviations, the 95% confidence interval will be the same for both ditributions or larger for the distribution with the smaller standard deviation or smaller for the distribution with the smaller standard deviation?

Thank you so much! I really appreciated the answer. I have one more question. If I have equal concentrations of heptachlor, a known human carcinogen, are found at two different sites, would the incremental risk be the same at both sites, different at the two sites?
explain a bit more please.
