    Taguchi designs

    Dear TalkStats Forum,

I am using Taguchi design in my experiments. I have a presentation soon and I want to explain this design in a very dynamic way. I read somewhere that the making process of the Taguchi arrays is similar to solving a Sudoku. I am not very familiar with the Sudoku games, can please anybody tell me how Taguchi can be explained with the Sudoku games?

Thank you very much for the help.

    Re: Taguchi designs

Taguchi designs are a form of orthogonal array. I have never seen/found the actual design algorithm used to generate these designs. They are highly fractionated (resolution III) factorial designs similar to Plackett Burman designs (link to design algorithm).

I have never heard of the Sudoku game explanation.
