Adjustment for confounders for testing equality of variance

    Dear all

I wonder if there is a method that allows to adjust for confounding variables when testing for the equality of variances.
I am comparing two methods concerning their precision. Unfortunately there are other factors which also play a role and which in the experiment cannot be controlled, but can be measured. Is there a way in any test for testing equality of variances to adjust?

    Thanks for your help.

I'd suppose that you regress your dependent variables on your confounders and
then perform the test for equaluty of variances on the residuals.

    With kind regards
