hi there,
working on a project in which we compare eye contrast among mammals at various points.

We collected data (luminance value) for parts of the eye (pupil, iris, eyelid, eye fur and face fur), and then calculated the contrast at the margin for each (Pupil-Iris, Iris-eyelid, eyelid-eyefur, etc). we did this among 34 species, 5 individuals in each species. We also recorded the species social habits on a scale (1-6) as well as if it was a predator or prey animal.
The data:
-species
-contrast at margins
-predator or prey
-social scale rating

We are hoping to fit a regression model to this data for all data, as well as sociality within predators and prey separately.

Overall, we'd like to find out if
1. the contrast at margins is significantly different among prey and predators.
2. if the contrast at margins is significantly different among various social levels.
3. within prey if the contrast at margins is significantly different among various social levels.
4. within predators if the contrast at margins is significantly different among various social levels.

We're new to R, but hoping to use it to run our analysis and create visual representations of our findings!

ANY AND EVERY BIT OF HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
