Here is the experiment sum-up: we transplanted limb from one rat to another (n=5 per group), the goal was to find out which treatment was the best in nerve regeneration. We had 4 groups: group 1-control (no treatment),group2- growth factor ,group3- enzyme, group4 - growth factor+enzyme. We collected morphometric data for nerves and muscles (the operated limb). We also did immunohistochemistry stainings on nerves to compare the molecular profile of Schwann cells.
I am inclined to use one-way ANOVA analysis with Tukey method, but someone suggested that I might need two-way ANOVA. Can you please help me to rationalize the use of one-way over two-way since the difference between two of them slips away from my mind in my case.
