# Thread: one sample t test between percents

1. ## one sample t test between percents

if I have two percentages say

50% and 10% from a survey conducted with 20 people

and there are 3 possible answers yes, no and don't know

50% answered yes and 10% answered no how do you work out if the difference is significant.

I have searched all over and cant find something that fits

thanks

If you want to know whether the proportion of "yes"
is significantly larger than the proportion of "no"
(leaving out don't know), then you can perform a
binomial test with expected roportion 0.50 .

With kind regards

K.
