Discrete or Continuous Data and Effect Size

    Dear All,

I have a paper with baseline (expressed as median and IQR) and change scores at 12 months (mean, 95%CI) regarding the number of days per week on which physical activity was performed per week.

I can't decide if this is continuous or discrete data? Number of days is obviously a discrete count, but didn't know if it changes when reporting the change from baseline scores. The reason I ask is because I need to run an effect size. For all other papers I have computed Hedges d, but didn't know if this was appropriate here, or if discrete should it be an odds ratio?

    Thanks.... Pedro
