Hello
I am looking at financial data (Revenue for Example) over a 5-10 year time frame and want to classify the data based on trends observed. Am looking for test(s) I can explore to help me create the trends. My Statistical knowledge is founded in University level courses of a number of years ago.

Examples - Revenue 2011 to 2015
147 300 000, 147 359 000, 146 045 000, 148 589 000, 117 386 000
6 615 000 000, 6 858 000 000, 6 782 000 000, 6 981 000 000, 403 800 0000
71 610 000, 423 298 000, 248 099 000, 118 332 000, 139 828 000
0, 3 871 000, 3 332 000, 3 093 000, 2 358 000
78 424 000, 130 449 000, 189 903 000, 266 220 000, 303 114 000

What I am thinking is I can classify a broad trend (up/down) but i want to better define the trend. These are the types of patterns i expect and want to classify.
1,2,3,4,5
5,4,3,2,1
1,2,3,2,1,
3,2,1,2,3,
2,1,2,3,2,
2,3,2,1,2,
etc

Linear regression will tell me something but is not enough once the trend strays from linear. What other tests should I consider? Are there trend classification systems that exist?

Any assistance appreciated
