    Proof

    Hello!
    I've read a textbook with the following expression.

    "y = beta 0 + beta 1 * lnx + u" and it claimed that end up: delta y = beta 1 * ((delta x) / x)

    Any proof for that??

    Thanks!
    Regards,
    BF

    Re: Proof

    In my view, there is no need for a proof because it appears to be nothing more than a straight-forward application of differential calculus.
