    Poisson regression for Count data

    Hello Every one,

I'am working in Toxicological lab, Where we deal with animal data.
I have to perform Poisson Regression for count data but i dont have any idea about Poisson Regression and i have to calculate by myself not using any software. So any one can help me regarding this, books or calculated example ???

Why can't you use any software?
I don't have emotions and sometimes that makes me very sad.

What software do you have available to you? Do you have Excel?

This is really funny in a sad way, please do not take it personally. The goal of the rule to only use validated SW would be to ensure that the quality of the tools that
are used is guaranteed. If this rule forces you to hand-calculate a rather involved model, then somebody is really overdoing compliance there.

I agree with rogojel, hand calculations would prone to errors and every time you change the model you would have to do the calculations over again. You can use a computer correct?

Re: Poisson regression for Count data

why wouldn't you use SAS to construct a finalized model then calculate that model by hand, so that you have a reference value.

Are you familiar with regression analysis in general?

Why can't you use these tools? Trying to do poisson regression without a statistical tool [especially if you have such a tool] makes no sense to me.
