Hi,

Still on my quest to sort probabilities problems involving time, I was trying to get help on this:

If my car is traveling at 100 km / h in average, what is the probability that:
I only do 50 Km of my trip in 1h ?
what is the probability that I can make 150 Km in one hour ?

And if my friend leaves at the same time but she is traveling at 110km / h, how much more is she likely to do 50km faster than me ?

you would need an assumption of the speed distribution and a measure of the speed variations to answer these question. E.g. assuming the speed is normal and has a standard deviation of x...

OK, lets assume its a normal distribution and also that the SD is known. Would you agree that the answer for the 1st question is:

P(A >= 50)
And for the second question
P(A >= 150)

And for the 3rd question, that one I am still a bit lost. How would you solve it ?
