SEM / path model = visualization of a hierarchical regression?

    Hi everybody,

nice to have found such a useful forum! And I hope someone can help me with my statistical problem!

I have the following hierarchical / sequential regression (with my real data):

Could a visualization of this regression look perhaps like this path model?

And how is it possible to calculate the indirect effects in this model?

Thank you so much for your help!

Can you clarify your potential goal? I read this as you want to create a Path Model that uses the 7 models, not just one. So it will track your modeling building progress?

Thanks a lot for your response!

The path model should actually be a kind of image or visualization of my regression!

It is about the predictors that explains a birth of a certain order. And one of them (here it is X) is more important than the other ones that are only mediators.

    I hope it helps....

I have filled the fields / variables with names now and hope that somebody kann help me.

    The regression:

    Tha path model:

    My questions are:

    1. Could the latter be an "image" oder visualization of the regression?
    2. If yes, how can I calculate the direct / indirect effects? I will probably use then Hayes' PROCESS software.
    3. How can I handle variables like "education"? As continuous (1 - 3)? And is it possible at all to use it as a mediator? Because its value actually can't be changed by the effect of other predictors (in this case the attitude "Psychological Utility").

I hope my English is good enough to communicate what I meant...
