    Interpreting odds ratio

    Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone may help/validate my interpretation off an odds ratio. The variables I have that are relevant to this question are:

dq6a: A dichotomous variable on whether the respondent had ever searched
online for different health-related information - 0 for no and 1 for yes
male: 0 for yes, 1 for no

I am supposed to interpret the odds ratio for the attached logistic regression output, specifically for the odds ratio and its accompanying 95% confidence interval of the variable
male. Here are two attempts I've written:

We are 95%*confident that for males, the odds of having searched online about a specific disease or medical problem is about 1.351 to 1.901 times. Our best guess is 1.603 (logistic regression, p <0.001).

We are 95%*confident that as the dichotomous q6a increases by one unit (indicating greater likelihood of searching online about a specific disease or medical problem), on average the*odds of being male is between 1.351 to 1.901 times. Our best guess is 1.603 (logistic regression, p <0.001).

    Any advice/guidance?

    Thank you!

    Re: Interpreting odds ratio

    Don't use either of those.

Male respondents had a 1.6 (95% CI: 1.4, 1.9) times greater odds of ever searching online for health-related information compared to female respondents.

Thank you! I had a feeling neither were up to snuff...
