    Meta-analysis - Effect size interpretation

    Hi all,

I'm doing a meta-analysis with pre-post data. Have found a significant effect size, but not sure if/how to talk about the direction of the effect size (because original studies go both ways). The effect size is significant and positive - does that mean that post have better results than pre?

    Thanks a lot!

Yes, given you subtracted the pre-scores from the post-scores and the confidence interval excludes "0". Have you made a forest plot yet, that may help us interpret your questions.

    Thanks.
