    Logistic Regression Output

    Hey All,

    Can someone help me make sense of this Minitab output? A few questions I had are:
    • What does the odds ratio statistic mean?
    • what does the p-value mean in this type of regression?
    • What does the equation here mean?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    You should provide us with some background; What are you trying to model, what the dependent variable is, and what is the predictor?

    Trying to see if a relationship exists exists between ProbSleep and HrsWkNite.

    ProbSleep: respondents reports having a problem sleeping
    0=No
    1=Yes

    HrsWkNite: average amount of sleep per weeknight in hours

    Re: Logistic Regression Output

    hi,
    a quick answer: the odds of having sleep problems decrease by a factor of 0,58 for every increase of 1 hour in weekly sleep.The p value (being less then 0,05, means this effect is unlikely to be a random fluke, and the equation is just showing you the mechanics of how the result was arrived at.
