    number of means (k) and degrees of freedom (df) in 2 way ANOVA for q in TUKEY'S HSD




    Hi everyone
    I have this data for pH of river water, collected over four sesons from five sites in triplicate.

    Season 1
    Site 1 7, 7, 7
    Site 2 7, 8, 8
    Site 3 7, 8, 7
    Site 4 7, 8, 8
    Site 5 7, 8, 7

    Season 2
    Site 1 7, 8, 8
    Site 2 7, 7, 7
    Site 3 7, 7, 7
    Site 4 7, 8, 7
    Site 5 7, 7, 7

    Season 3
    Site 1 7, 7, 7
    Site 2 7, 8, 8
    Site 3 7, 8, 7
    Site 4 7, 7, 7
    Site 5 7, 8, 8

    Season 4
    Site 1 7, 7, 7
    Site 2 7, 7, 7
    Site 3 7, 8, 7
    Site 4 7, 8, 8
    Site 5 7, 7, 7


    I have applied two way anova on this data and now i want to apply Tukey's HSD. for this purpose i need k (number of means) an df (dgrees of freedom) to determine q value from q table.

    My query is what is k in this case. 20 (as 4 seasons x 5 sites) or 5 (as 5 sites) and also guide about degrees of freedom (is it 40? because if k=20 then total number of observtaions are 20 x 3= 60 and hence 60 -20=40). please guide me.
