    Best tool to analyse data

    Hi,

I have 20 years of data about calibration reports of various clients which primarily shows three-variables.

    COMPANY A

    YEAR 2001
    1.) Variable a, Variable b, Variable c
    2.) Variable a, Variable b, Variable c
    .......(10 readings)

    YEAR 2002
    Variable a, Variable b, Variable c
    Variable a, Variable b, Variable c
    .......(10 readings)

    ... upto Year 2016

For my research assignment, i am supposed to form a trendline and equation which can summarize the underlying connection among the yearly results for a particular company and, perhaps, help in prediction.?

I hope you understand what i mean.

You need to provide more detail. I am not really sure what you are doing. For example are you drawing three different lines one for each company or one line. Predictions are commonly done either with regression, but you have no predictors I can see, or time series. For example exponential smoothing or ARIMA. Exponential smoothing in infinitely easier than ARIMA.
