Hello! I'm going to be using NHANES data for some of my research looking at dietary factors and health-related outcomes. I have a bit of exposure to both R and SAS, but am very new to statistics software packages in general, and am not confident in either of these programs yet. I'm looking for recommendations on which of these programs I should spend my time learning so I can use it for my analyses of NHANES data. I know SAS has Survey procedures that allow you to account for the complex design of NHANES, but I'm not sure if there's something equivalent in R. I'm sure there are also other factors that I'm not even considering. I'd love any input on which program might be better for NHANES data! Thank you!
