    Sample Size Calculation

    Hi,

New to the stats so apologies in advance. Is it possible to use a sample size calculation to find the delta to determine if values from categorical data is different?

Can you expand on what you actually want to do a little bit?

Most sample size calculations require say variance, mean, mean diff, alpha, 1-beta, etc. You can solve for any of the values in the formula, by providing sample size and holding out effect size. So, yes!
