    Writing out stats

i have conducted various t tests and understand that i need to state the t value, d.f value and p value in my results section above my graph.

Do i used the equals variances assumed value or the equal variances not assumed variance? I'm not too sure.

Also would I write it out like so:

    Figure 1. displays that gymnasts (157 ± 6.34) demonstrated a significantly lower mean height value in comparison to the control (164 ± 6.09) group (t = -2.605, d.f = 20, p=0.017).

If someone can reply ASAP that would be great. Thanks

It depends on which formula you used for the t-test. Since the two groups have similar SD, and your df=20, you probably assumed equal variance.
