Hi. I'm trying to compile a year-by-year statistical "violent death index" in the US, but the 9/11 deaths are absent from New York's homicide stats for that year. Is there a separate category for these type of deaths? And if so, what is it referred to as? Also, are there any other massive casualty events that I should expect to be absent from traditional statistics?
