[AMOS] Chi Square Difference test - part of CFA or structural model stage?

I'm trying to assess whether there is a sig difference between my two samples using a chi square test to see which the model works best for.

I'm unsure as to whether I should run this during the CFA or as part of the structural model analysis stage.

Would be good to have some insight. Thanks
Re: [AMOS] Chi Square Difference test

Just to add, I have tested the model for invariance during the CFA and infact the model is variant. So I'm wondering what the next step would be.

Ok give us some details about measurement model complexity sample size etc. It is common practice not to rely on delta chisquare values for large complex models but delta CFI and RMSEA.
