ANOVA vs MANCOVA

#1
Hello.

I'm doing a study on people with high vs. low self-compassion and I want to compare them on a number of variables. Self-compassion in this group varies by age, so I want to do ANCOVAs to compare means while controlling for age.

My question is this: since SPSS only allows you to do an ANCOVA for one variable at a time, could I just do a MANCOVA and only put age in as a covariate? Would that, in effect, do the ANCOVAs en masse, without having to go back and forth, doing a separate one for each variable?

Thank you!
