Bird Community Ecology - BACI experiment

#1
Greetings!
I'm currently trying to investigate the impact of an event on the bird community of a National Park on my country.
For that I have collected data in the BACI format (Before After Control Impact) and I would like to know what is the best way to analyze it. I have richness and abundance of the birds on the 4 categories (Before-Control, After-Control, Before-Impact, and After-impact) and I have no idea how to compare them, if I should use any diversity index (and which one). If anyone could shed some light I would be very thankful. I also apologize for my english.
Edit: I forgot to add I have multiple samples for each categorie (at least 4 for each).
Thank you!

Hi Fsmelo,

I suggest you read through this website: http://www.biostathandbook.com/

Especially look at the "Kinds of biological variables" section and the test choice sections, http://www.biostathandbook.com/testchoice.html.

Then if you need help, describe your data using the language of the "biological variables" section, and give suggestions on which test you think will work.

Us just giving you an answer will not help you learn and can be very dangerous as we have no idea how your data looks.
