Does anybody know of a freeware program to for c++ to matlab executable files?

Can you clean this sentence up? I don't think I'll be able to answer the question but it's not clear to me what you want.

Well - I want to be able to generate my own files which are written in c++ but executed by Matlab (MEX files). It is my understanding that i need a compiler for this and i have not been able find any freeware compilers.
So my question is if anybody knows of a freeware method or program for generating MEX files.

I think i actually found something on matlab's site here. Seems that i have been reading outdated manuals :-/
