Calculating probability to construct a random variable probability function

#1
Hello all,

I have this question and I struggle to understand what to do.

"There are 2 groups of numbers: A: 2,2,3,3 and B: 5,5,6
A number is chosen randomly from one of the groups, and then another number is chosen from the other group. Let X be the product of the two numbers (a*b). Construct the probability function of X."

What I don't understand, is if I should take the order into consideration or not.

Thank you.

Is the above, the EXACT question presented to you? I would say determine all permutations, so yes take the order into consideration. But that is just my interpretation. If the dataset is small enough you could probably do it both ways.
