# Chi squared: Is this one way or two way?

Looking at the correlation between weather and weekends. I have the following table and am not sure if it's a one way or two way situation...I think it's a two way table because there are instances where it didn't rain on the weekend or the weekday, and there are instances where it rained on both.

Greater than 1 variable, so you have two-way.

Okay that's what I thought... thanks!

Follow-up question.... In the event that you have a table such as the one below, would you degrees of freedom be 1 or 4?

There are two variables here also, and I'm not sure which one would be used to determine the Df... I'm assuming it would be 4, but why would you not use the "Music" "No Music" variable to calculate Df if that's true?

EDIT: Actually I think i answered my own question.... (r-1)(c-1) = (5-1)(2-1) = 4*1 = 4 correct?
