Comparative study

#1
Im doing comparative study of Kidney disease and Dermatoglyphics. There is a Continuous variable (ridge count) i am assessing
Confounding factors is sex

Cases (Female 90, Male 180)
Control group 1 (Female 90, Male 90)
Control Group 2 (Female 90, Male 90)

Is it OK to use 180 Male or do i need to reduce it to 90

Please advice

ridge count sounds like it is a count, not a continuous variable?

Are cases and controls matched? It is fine to have imbalanced sample sizes. Are you going to pool the controls or why do you have 2 groups?
