Determine Confounding using Multivariate analysis

#1
After we adjusted for confounders in the Multivariate analysis, How do we determine that if the variable is confounding or not?

I read somewhere that 10% Beta change is an old school rule, but still many online resources have mentioned about this rule. Is it the correct way to do it?

Also, after adjusting for confounder, if the independent variable is no more significant, how do we interpret it? Thanks.

It is also about knowing your study content and drawing out the relationships between the terms.

Are you conducting multiple regression or multivariate regression? So do you have 1 or multiple dependent variables?
