[Excel] - Calculating P values

#1
Hello guys

I wanted to see if age affected blood sugar levels in children, So I divided my population into two groups pre-adolescents ( ages ≤ 12 years) and adolescents (ages ≥ 13 years) now I wanted to see if there is a statistically significant differences between the two groups ( P value), i.e. does age have an effect on glycemic control in children. The mean for blood sugar levels in the adolescent group was higher than the pre-adolescent group.

My question is regarding my methodology, I used the Excel analysis toolpak.
First I ran an (F test: two sample of variance), the P value was less than 0.05
so I ran a student-t test: for two samples assuming unequal variance)
The two tailed P value was less than 0.05, which indicates a significant differences between the two age groups.

- Was my methodology in calculating the P value accurate?
