general approach to handle missing data while doing simulation

New Member
This is probably a naive question. I'm new to statistical simulation. So please be a little bit patient. I was just wondering, what are the general approaches to handle missing data fields while doing simulation? You can either add your own understandings or point me to some references or links. Thank you so much!

Less is more. Stay pure. Stay poor.
@bsnyh - Yes, please clarify your scenario. Do you mean you want to simulate data, but don't have any data to build your assumptions on. Say, I don't know a groups ages or parameters around those age, so how do I simulate it?
