Hello,
I am new to statistics as well as this thread...I have read, sought you-tube videos and I'm still not understanding. At this point I have been given the task of writing up how I propose to test an hypothesis but I am missing some important information according to my professor.
I am doing a study on the effects of In School suspension(ISS), Out of school suspension (OSS) and a combination of ISS/OSS on the Georgia Criterion Referenced Competency Test (GCRCT).
11-12 scores will be used as baseline
12-13 scores will be tested for difference
I have chosen to do a two-way ANOVA but there is a disconnect of what I'm testing for...my professor says I need explain what/how I will be calculating the main and interaction effects.
So far this is what I have:
H1o No difference exists in the reading GCRCT scores between students who have had an increase/decrease of ISS days.
***The red is where I messed up***
Answer: A two way between subjects ANOVA will be performed to test the hypothesis. This analysis will be used to examine the differences in test scores based on the independent variables. The mean square will be calculated for the main effect . A significance level of .05 will be used to reject or fail to reject the null hypothesis.
