I hope you can help me to answer the following questions

""Do people consider magazines credible when they take a purchase decision?"" How can I transfer this question into a hypothesis? What will be considered as the independent variable (X) and the dependent variable (Y)?

You have to define what is meant by a magazine. Popular mechanics maybe, US Weekly nope.

You could have a binary outcome: yes/no or an ordinal scale.
