Hey guys,
I did a mediation-analysis and I found the following results:
IV = Pro-social behavior
M = Left political preference
DV= Vaccine Readiness
Path A and B are both significant. There is a significant total indirect effect according SPSS Amos.
Path C is not significant.
The total effect of the whole model (so all paths) is significant according to AMOS.
According the VAF-value there is partial mediation.
But I don't know how to interpreted the results actually. How can IV indirect lead to DV but not directly? What does this tell us about variabele M?
According Hayes (2018) it is possible to speak of a mediation without a significant direct effect of path c'.
