MS Stats post MBA?

I've recently completed an MBA and currently work in Financial Planning and Analysis. I'm considering continuing to invest in my education by pursuing an MS in statistics. Specifically, I'm in interested in applying the degree towards asset modeling or otherwise building on the career moves that I've made already.

I'm interested in collecting opinions from people who are in stats-related professions to see if this strategy makes sense. If the two degrees are like oil and water, there maybe it isn't too good of an idea, but my intuition is that there should be opportunities. Thoughts?
