Hi guys,
Just wanted to add some knowledge to the forums. This semester, I was introduced to a free text editor (Notepad++). Has most of the bells and whistles that the nice text editors have (that you'd have to pay for, i.e. highlighting, color, loop lines and colored parentheses to follow, specific languages that it follows), but its free.
With it, I'm able to customize it and install plugins. I've managed so far to link it to R to compile, to a C compiler, and to LaTex.
Its really convenient now that I can run all my programs from one location now. Took me hours to figure out everything, but if anyone is interested, I can show you as well.
