The probability distribution of a finite random variable x is given by the following table
xi –2 –1 0 1 2 3
P(xi) 0.1 k 0.2 2k 0.3 k

what to do with this question? I am not able to understand how to proceed ??:p

Since it is a probablity distribution, the total probability is 1

the question is to find the unknown k( which is not specified)
ie .1+k+.2+2k+.3+k=1
find K by solving this.
