I don't know how to get help with this, but I have spent a few hours trying to figure this out and I don't know what to do. When I click on Analyze, compare means, Independent Samples t test, I place the NoAromatherapy variable as a group variable and the Aromatherapy variable as a test variable. After this, I set the define groups as 1 and 2. As a result, the data I should be getting gives me two warnings. One warning states "The independent samples table is not produced". The second warning states "The independent samples effect sizes table is not produced". Can someone, please, help me?

If these are distinct groups (people with therapy are not the same as those without therapy),
then all 32 values of the dependent variable have to be in one column. Then you add a second
column as grouping variable, which indicates which value belongs to the group with therapy
and which belongs to the group without therapy.

If you had just 16 participants, each one with 2 values, then you need to perform dependent (not
independent) samples t-test.

With kind regards
