SPSS T TEST

i am trying to conduct an independent t test among various variables.
but i don have the wished result because it shows that the independence table is not produced
the t test can not be produced because one of the groups is empty.
i have tried everything all variables are numeric and nominal
i deactivate unicode, i rewrite all the variables at the data view of spss one by one (1,2,3,4,5)
but still nothing. any ideas?

So you did something like "compare groups with codes 2 versus 4 with respect to the
dependent variable"? Maybe the dependent variable has no values for one of the groups?

thanks for the reply the independent values contains answers in scale and the dependent value is the variable gender which contains 2 values
but it returns zero values. how can i compare them in oder to have the independence t test?

In a t-test, your independent variable is the grouping variable, here: gender.
The dependent variable is the interval scaled variable, here: the scale variable.
