two way analysis

how do i do a two way PLUS analysis for 1970 then 1980 then the entire table in excel or R.

What do you mean by parity ratios? Do parity always have 6 levels? What is your objective here? Compare if there is a difference between different parity levels? or compare if there is a difference in ethnicity/nationality levels? or see if there is difference in time effect? or all of those?

You can use a all these as a factors in your regression model. I will use a glm in R.

Parity ratios is the proportion of women at a given level (previous live births) and is then by ethnic groups above. I have to do a two way plus analysis for the 6x6 compare to two (3x6) table. Its not a regression but a calculation of medians and residuals that is needed.
