What type of discrete probability distribution is the probabilities of the sum of the outcomes of an infinite number of dice rolls? The probabilities are:

P(2)=1/36, P(3)=2/36, P(4)=3/36, ..., P(12)=1/36

Thank you.

The pmf you listed is a triangular distribution which result from the sum of two independent dice rolls.

By Central Limit Theorem, the sum of infinite number of them will be approximately normal with proper scaling (divided by $\sqrt{n}$).

Dear BGM,

Thank you for your prompt reply. But, the triangular distribution is a continuous probability distribution, which does not fit with dice rolls, the outcomes of which are discrete.
