unused arguments

when i create a vector on R console its showing an error like this

im unable to get it what are unused arguments and why does it show like that?
and how do i rectify the error in the code for creating vector of character elements?

Weird. I'm guessing at some point you defined a new function that you called "c".

Does
Code:
base::c("apple", "banana", "orange", "algo", "cream")
give what you expect?

Sometimes if cutting and pasting was used, your quotation marks may be backwards or not registered correctly.

You can also try rewriting the line of code from scratch and seeing if that works.

Definitely. But usually you can see that "smart" quotes are used as they look a bit different. I think in this case they probably have a function in their global namespace named "c" which only takes two arguments.
