Hi, I am unsure as to which test is used for the following question:

A school administrator believes that students enrol in a sport course as they believe it is a “easy” class, or a class that students can consistently obtain a mean of more than 70. Test his claim at the 5% level of significance.


Is this part correct?
H0 : μ > 70 mean
H1 : μ _< 70 mean (less than or equal to)

The general convention is to have the equal sign in the null hypothesis. You should swap your null and alternative. It may be helpful to review the calculation of the test statistic because this will allow you to see that the null assumes the true mean is equal to 70 in this problem.
