Warning messages

#1
I Hi,
When I try to use SPSS to fit a strictly parallel model and a split half model, I get the following messages. Can I use this data or is it bad and if it is, what can I do to fix the error.

Strict parallel warning:
The average covariance among items in this scale is negative. This violates reliability model assumptions. Statistics which are functions of this value may have estimates outside theoretically possible ranges.

Split half warning:
The correlation between forms (halves) of the test is negative. This violates reliability model assumptions. Statistics which are functions of this value may have estimates outside theoretically possible ranges.

I've uploaded my data file (or at least tried to -- not sure if it worked) as well as output for both models.

Thanks!

Attaching documents

Hi adjsj,
Your documents did not attach. You need to copy and paste them into a 97-03 Word Document and attach that. The forum does not support the attachment of SPSS data or output files.
Thanks
