What type of analysis? Ordinal Exposure, Dichotomous Outcome

#1
I have ordered exposure: 4 levels of contamination
I have dichotomous outcome: health outcome Yes/No

My understanding is that because it is a dichotomous outcome, I should use logistic regression.

Should I be using logistic regression like I would if the exposure was continuous?
If not, what considerations should I be taking into account?

I am using R studio for my analysis and using generalized linear mixed-effects model because I am accounting for clustering.

Hi Hehaoyue,

Yes when the DV is categorical you should use the logistic regression (2 categories) or multinomial logistic regression (2 or more)
I assume that the treatment to ordinal predictor in the logistic regression is similar to the treatment in the linear regression.
